After spending a great fall week in the 2025 Infiniti QX60 Lux AWD, the latest version of Infiniti’s popular three-row luxury SUV delivers a stunning mix of style, comfort, and technology with today’s modern family in mind. I found that it was fused.
One of the most popular models in Infiniti’s lineup, the QX60 has always met the needs of families seeking premium features and a luxurious driving experience without stepping into the ultra-premium price range. .
Exterior design: timeless elegance and modern flair
At first glance, the QX60 struck us with its sleek, modern appearance. Infiniti’s design philosophy of “powerful elegance” is reflected in the wide stance, bold grille and flowing lines that define the SUV’s profile.
The Luxe trim’s 20-inch alloy wheels and chrome accents add to its premium appearance, while its signature LED headlights and taillights add modern sophistication.
A panoramic moonroof, standard on the Luxe trim, not only brightens the cabin but also enhances the QX60’s already upscale presence. Overall, the exterior design is a well-balanced combination of sophistication and maneuverability, making it one of the most attractive SUVs in its segment.
Performance: Smooth and confident performance
Under the hood of the Infiniti QX60 is a 2.0-liter VC Turbo engine, the world’s first mass-produced variable compression engine, delivering 268 horsepower and 286 pound-feet of torque.
Paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, this engine provided smooth acceleration and reliable power delivery, making highway driving and city cruising equally enjoyable. Infiniti has tuned this engine to prioritize comfort over aggressive sportiness. In other words, the QX60 values smooth, quiet operation over mere speed.
The Luxe trim’s all-wheel drive (AWD) system provides added peace of mind and is especially useful during the inclement weather that the Wasatch Front is likely to encounter. While the QX60’s ground clearance has proven adequate for light off-road use and gravel roads, it’s important to note that the vehicle is primarily designed for on-road comfort. it is clear.
Ride quality was one of the big highlights of the QX60. Thanks to the well-tuned suspension, the SUV was able to overcome most road irregularities and provide a smooth and comfortable ride.
The handling is very responsive but not overly sporty, which I liked for getting to and from work and other daily activities.
Interior: A combination of luxury and family-friendly functionality
Every time I step into the QX60 Luxe, I can immediately tell that Infiniti has put a lot of effort into making the cabin feel like a premium space. High-quality materials are used throughout, including soft-touch surfaces, leather seating, and real wood trim.
The leather seats were both supportive and luxurious, and the driver and passenger seats were power adjustable. We’ve always said Nissan has some of the best seats in the industry. The front seats are also heated and ventilated, making them perfect for Utah’s diverse climate.
There was plenty of space in the second row. However, the third row is great for kids and short trips. The sliding second row seat provided enough flexibility for adults to get in and out as needed.
The QX60 has 14.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row and up to 75.4 cubic feet when the second and third rows are folded flat. A power liftgate provided easy access to the cargo area, and there was also additional underfloor storage space in the rear for safe storage of small items.
Technology: Cutting-edge features for modern drivers
Infiniti has packed the 2025 QX60 Luxe AWD with a variety of advanced technology features to keep us connected, fun, and safe. The centerpiece of the dashboard is the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which was intuitive and easy to operate. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard, allowing seamless integration with your smartphone.
The Luxe trim also comes with a wireless charging pad, multiple USB ports, and a premium Bose 17-speaker sound system that delivers crystal-clear sound quality.
Infiniti’s InTouch navigation system was also utilized to provide real-time traffic updates and turn-by-turn directions, making it easier to plan long trips and navigate unfamiliar areas. The QX60 also has a 360-degree camera system with parking sensors, making parking this large SUV less difficult.
Safety: Comprehensive driver assistance features
Safety is always a top priority in any vehicle we test drive, and the 2025 Infiniti QX60 did not disappoint us in this regard. The vehicle was equipped with comprehensive driver assistance features from Infiniti’s ProPILOT Assist system. Standard features include:
Forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking helps avoid or reduce collisions. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are especially useful in crowded parking lots. Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Assist help drivers stay in the center of their lane. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality makes long highway drives more relaxing.
The ProPilot Assist system combines adaptive cruise control and lane centering technology to provide a semi-autonomous driving experience on the highway. This system didn’t eliminate our need for attention, but it did make stop-and-go traffic and long-distance trips less taxing.
Comparison with competitors
The 2025 Infiniti QX60 Lux AWD competes against models like the Acura MDX, Lexus RX350L, and Audi Q7 in a crowded field of luxury three-row SUVs. The QX60 stood out for its blend of luxury and practicality while being more affordable than its European competitors. It may not have the impressive performance of an Audi Q7 or the cutting-edge technology of an MDX, but the QX60 is a well-rounded package that prioritizes comfort, family friendliness, and style. provided.
End of the week: Premium SUV for the masses
The 2025 Infiniti QX60 Luxe AWD has proven to be an excellent choice for families looking for a luxury SUV that doesn’t compromise on comfort, safety, or style. A smooth, confident ride, a thoughtfully designed and luxurious interior, and advanced technology make everyday driving a pleasure. The AWD system added extra confidence for a Utah family dealing with a variety of weather conditions.
