Eagle Eyed movie lovers have been flooding the theatre’s Facebook pages for months. Previous film theatres asked when they would reopen after nearly four years of availability.

Under the ownership of Entertainment Mogul Bill Honey, the 110 Charlton Road Theatre will offer a luxurious entertainment experience featuring reclining chairs, and in the future full kitchen and chair side delivery.
Honey previously told MassLive that the renovated cinema will feature a bar, new carpet and updated color scheme to match the gorgeous cinemas of Honey, New England entertainment.
“Every place was rethinked with new chairs,” he said. “Theatres have transformed over the past 15 years. From chairs in the stadium locker to these big, big chairs reclining. Your head will go back and your legs will rise.”

The cinema will have around 1,000 guests with eight theatres and seats, but with newly improved chairs added to the space, “it will take the capacity from 1,000 to about 500 people,” Honey said.
Reported that Telegram & Gazette opened in 2012, Cinemagic was closed in February 2021 after the death of its former owner Mark Adam, Honey said.

Guests who remember the layout of the old theatre may recall walking down the main entrance and seeing the long counter extending from the back wall to the left of the building. On the left is the designated area where you order snacks, and the center is where you order tickets. On the far right side was an arcade game.
In Honey’s reimagined design, the centre is a counter for ordering tickets and concessions, but on the left is the location of the bar.
On the right side, arcade games will no longer be turned into house.

When the theatre opens on Friday, guests will be able to grab a combo of classic soda, candy and popcorn. In the future, Honey will add a full kitchen and offer pub-style foods such as freshly baked pizza and homemade nachos (not equipped with machine press button cheese).
Part of the plan is to take guest orders from their seats to Waitstaff and deliver the orders, Hanney said.
“We’re stealthy about it, so we don’t get people in the way,” Honey said. “The waitress just shows up like magic.”
He said the upgraded seating has swivel tables attached to the chairs for a comfortable and convenient experience.
“They’re wood, grain, they’re just beautiful. …It’s just fun. That’s how you watch the movie,” Honey said.

Honey owns several other theatres in Massachusetts. This includes a Falmouth theater co-owned with his brother, Brian Honey.
Honey and his brothers have implemented a luxury cinema model at their Falmouth location, and guests love it, he said.
“We found this place and said, ‘Let’s try again,'” Honey said in August. “I want to bring them great film entertainment, and I think we’ll pull that part apart.”
He added that Sturbridge cinemas “are the most comfortable theatre in the area at this time”, plus “food and drinks (which will be brought to the table like restaurants).”
