The Marshall News Messenger welcomes Timothy Stuckey to the team as a staff reporter starting this Monday.
Stuckey is based in Longview and brings extensive experience in both photography and journalism, along with a strong commitment to visual storytelling. He plans to cover the school situation for the newspaper.
Stuckey previously ran his own photography business and has experience in a variety of photography styles, including event photography and editorial portraiture.

His journalism career includes work as editor-in-chief, reporter, and photographer for The Flare, and he gained first-hand experience in news production, photography, and editing while attending Kilgore College. In addition, he served as editor-in-chief of Flare’s student magazine, working collaboratively with a diverse group of students and instructors.
“It has been a privilege to work with such a talented group of people and produce high-quality publications that are truly representative of our community,” Stuckey said.
He has also been recognized for his work in newspapers and magazines, receiving top awards for narrative reporting, photography and production design from the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association.
His dedication to detail extended to health care when he worked as a phlebotomist for several years at White Oak Family Medicine.
Stuckey looks forward to enhancing the newspaper’s coverage with compelling images, and his past experience and interest in visual storytelling will be a valuable asset to the Marshall News Messenger team. I hope.
