HOBOKEN, NJ – The Stevens Institute of Technology Athletics Department celebrates the 39th National Women’s Sports Day (NGWSD) with the women’s and men’s basketball teams hosting King’s College at Canavan Arena on Saturday, February 1, 2025. Celebrate.
Prior to the men’s game at 1 p.m., Stevens Athletics will host a pregame clinic featuring instruction in multiple sports from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event will be the ninth such event at Stevens.
Now in its 39th year, NGWSD celebrates the many ways sports inspire girls and women to achieve excellence and realize their limitless potential. The Women’s Sports Foundation, which sponsors National Women’s Sports Day, champions girls and women in sports, empowers advocates who seek to protect Title IX and advance gender equality, and athletes who use their powerful platform to inspire. We celebrate the important role played by individuals and organizations who advocate for our people. Greatness, and coaches work every day to unlock the limitless potential of girls. The confidence, strength and character gained through participation in sport are the very tools girls and women need to become strong leaders in sport and in life. A vibrant movement celebrated annually, NGWSD celebrates the achievements of girls and women in sport, recognizes the power of sport to unlock their limitless potential, and continues to propel them forward.
