Two prominent real estate brokers and their brother have been indicted on sex trafficking charges after they allegedly drugged, assaulted and raped dozens of women over a period of more than a decade.
Prosecutors allege that Tal and Oren Alexander, a couple known for selling luxury real estate in New York and Miami, and their brother Aron used their wealth to take advantage of women.
The brothers were arrested in Florida on Wednesday and are expected to be brought to New York to face charges.
A lawyer representing Oren Alexander rejected the charges. Aron Alexander’s attorney said her client will plead not guilty. Tal Alexander’s agent, Joel Denaro, declined to comment.
“As of today, law enforcement has reached out to dozens of women who have reported being forcibly raped or sexually assaulted by at least one of the Alexander brothers,” Damian Williams, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, said at a press conference in Manhattan. We are conducting interviews.” .
“The act, as alleged, was heinous.”
Two of the brothers were granted bail on Friday after their father posted his mansion as collateral.
A county bond agreement allows Aron and Oren Alexander to be held on home confinement pending trial. However, they will remain in prison on federal charges for now, according to Miami media.
Prosecutors say the alleged crimes were committed over a period of more than 10 years.
The indictment describes a scheme in which he invited women to parties and lured them to locations where the assaults occurred in the United States and abroad with promises of lavish experiences and trips.
He also said he would source drugs and give them to the women, sometimes “secretly” putting them in their drinks.
Finally, prosecutors say that in some cases, the brothers “physically restrained and held the victims down during the rapes and sexual assaults, ignoring their screams and clear requests to stop.”
Immediately after the assault, the brothers allegedly offered concert tickets and other luxuries to some of the victims.
The three brothers are each charged with one count of participating in a sex trafficking conspiracy and two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion.
Tal Alexander is also charged with additional counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion.
“Oren Alexander is innocent,” said attorney Susan Necheres.
“The evidence will show that neither he nor his brother committed the crime in any way.”
Meanwhile, lawyers representing the women welcomed the charges.
“I am pleased to hear that there will finally be some accountability for the Alexander brothers and justice for their many victims,” David Gottlieb said in a statement published in X by his law firm Wigdor LLP. ” he said.
“We applaud all the survivors who, after years of pain and suffering, had the strength and courage to speak out about their unimaginable experiences.”

In 2022, they founded a company called Official.
