When an NFL team needed transportation to Baltimore for a recent game; Star Bus Charter & Tours has introduced a new luxury option, a pair of Napaway Premium Coaches.
The team avoided the usual hassles at airports, cramped seats on charter flights, and the logistical headaches of multiple transfers. Instead, they boarded a bus that felt like a private jet on wheels, with comfort and convenience built into every detail.
Featuring business class seats that convert to lie-flat beds, Star’s new Napaway coaches do more than just transport passengers from point A to point B. We offer a seamless, premium travel experience that rivals, and often exceeds, charter. Airplane provides.
“This is a whole other level of service,” said company president Pete Borowski. Star Bus Charter & Tours. “We’ve seen strong demand from clients who want something beyond traditional products, and our coaches can tell you that.”
A new type of luxury travel
The partnership between Starr and Napaway Coaches, launched in November, brings state-of-the-art sleeper coaches to travelers in New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, and the greater New York City area.
This collaboration is an opportunity to redefine luxury travel.
“Star is a forward-thinking, family-owned company that does things the right way,” said Dan Aronoff, CEO of Napaway. “We couldn’t be more proud to partner with them. They are an exceptional company and we are confident they will be excellent stewards of the Napaway brand.”
Napaway Premium Coach features a unique seating system that transforms from individual seats in business class to private pods with flat beds. This flexibility allows us to serve a variety of clients, from corporate executives to sports teams.
Unlike traditional sleeper buses, which are often limited to a sleeping berth and minimal amenities, Napaway baths combine luxury and versatility. It can accommodate up to 36 passengers or sleep up to 18, with features such as individual climate control, privacy screens, and plenty of space to stretch out and relax.
“We have always aimed to provide value and comfort,” Borowski said. “Napaway allows us to do that in a completely new way for our industry.”
For professional sports teams, Napaway’s premium coaches offer distinct advantages over charter flights. Airplane seats are usually standard seats with limited legroom, which is less than ideal for athletes who need to rest before a game.
“Many of these planes are no better than commercial airline coaches,” Borowski explained. “You might block the seat next to you, but it’s still small and uncomfortable.”
With Napaway, teams stay in the same vehicle until they reach their destination, eliminating the need to transfer between buses or planes.
“With Napaway, you can stay in the same space forever,” Borowski said. “You don’t have to take a bus to the airport, wait for your flight, land and then take another bus. It’s seamless.”
Time savings is another factor. A two-hour flight trip can stretch to six to eight hours when you factor in airport transfers, wait times, and other delays. For trips in the 4 to 8 hour range, luxury buses often emerge as a great option.
“All things considered, the bus might actually be faster,” Borowski said. “If you add more comfort, it’s a no-brainer.”
Creating new markets
The partnership with Napawa is opening up a new market for Stars beyond sports teams. The coach’s flexibility makes it ideal for a wide range of customers, from corporate travel to tour productions and high-end leisure groups.
“A corporate client may require an 18-seat pod for executives, while a touring production may prefer a 36-seat configuration for staff,” says Borowski. “The ability to adapt to different needs is a game changer.”
Napaway’s premium products come at a higher price point, but customers are happy to make the investment.
“It’s a premium product, but people notice the difference as soon as they get in,” Borowski said. “It’s a cost they’re willing to pay for comfort and experience.”
Since its founding in 1947 as a family-owned business, Starr has built a reputation for innovation and quality, winning the IMG Operator of the Year award in 2015. Our partnership with Napaway could be the next chapter in that tradition.
“This is more than just luxury,” Borowski said. “It’s important to create a seamless experience where passengers feel valued and valued. That’s what we’ve always done and will continue to do at Napaway.”
Benefits of exclusivity
By granting exclusive rights to designated regional operators like Starr Bus, Napaway ensures its luxury buses provide the same experience wherever you travel.
This network approach also enables flexibility and scalability, allowing carriers to work together to meet the demand for cross-regional travel while reducing inefficiencies such as “deadhead” costs.
“Having a strong network of like-minded carriers is key to our success,” said Napaway founder Aronoff. “This will enable us to provide a seamless, premium experience to our clients across the country while fostering a collaborative environment between carriers.”
Napaway’s exclusive model also gives Star a competitive edge. As the only company operating Napaway buses in the region, Starr stands out from its competitors.
“There is no other company in this market that can offer what we do in Napaway,” Borowski said. “This is a huge draw for our clients and sets us apart.”
As demand for luxury group travel grows, Napaway’s network is poised to expand. Borowski said the reaction to the Napaway coaches has been overwhelmingly positive.
“Once people experience it, they’re hooked,” Borowski said. “This is the future of group travel.”
