This was such a fun activity to do with my 9 year old and she was so proud of the finished product. There was no need to sew, and each piece of fabric was pieced together over time. I had 25 pieces of 12×12 fabric and wanted to use it all for a blanket instead of making blankets and pillows. It was a lot of fun to spend quality time and talk.
It was very easy to make and my daughter had fun doing it too. The material is nice and soft and makes a good sized throw blanket. It didn’t take me long to figure out the pattern and connect the squares. Since the string was pre-cut, this process was quick. If your child or you are a Squishmallows fan, this is a cute blanket and would make a good gift.
