Mango’s Lounge is closed
Mango’s Lounge (1805 W. First St.) is listed as permanently closed on Google, and its doors have been chained shut for the past few days. The restaurant has closed “for good,” according to a Facebook post by members of the group Cold Beer and Burnouts, which supports the restaurant.
The News-Sun was unable to reach owner Limarie Nuñez Flores, but she told the news outlet that the restaurant was intended to be a place for parents and children to enjoy when it opened last year. Ta.
This bar started out as a family restaurant business, with the family owning Los Mariachis. Nunez-Flores’ brother, Armando Nunez, owns Chido’s Tacos and its food truck in CoHatch.

IHOP is back?
The IHOP location at 2206 N. Bechtle Ave. in Springfield has been closed for several years, but job openings signs have been posted multiple times.
The restaurant is scheduled to open in its new location this week, according to a sign in front of the building. No timeline was given.
The News-Sun has reached out to IHOP representatives for more information but has not yet received a response.
QuikTrip comes to Leffel
KwikTrip, a national gas station and convenience store chain, opened its first Ohio location this year at 2121 Edwin C. Moses Blvd. In Dayton, we received a permit for land at 2 W. Leffel Lane, a former hotel.
A demolition permit for the hotel, which once carried brands such as Days Inn, was approved in July, and demolition of the 53,611-square-foot hotel was completed late last month.
QuikTrip, like Sheetz and other gas station chains in Ohio, sells made-to-order snacks and sandwiches as well as products at gas stations and convenience stores.
The schedule for the Springfield location is still unknown. QuikTrip did not respond to a request for comment.

Eatly strengthens Urbana plan
Italian seasonal restaurant Eatly announced on Facebook that its new year-round downtown Urbana location will be located at 116 Miami Street, the former location of Miami Street Tavern.
In July, owner Tom Thompson told the News-Sun that the restaurant, which has been open since 2021 at 601 N. Fountain Ave., is “right on the plaza” in Urbana and serves traditional Sicilian cuisine. He said he would continue to provide it. , Thompson said the menu will include comfort food such as baked mac and cheese, baked steak, and homemade chicken and noodles. The new store will also feature a full bar and event room.
The Springfield store will remain open until Urbana relocates in early November.
