The South Korean Constitutional Court rejected Prime Minister Han Dak Saw’s blast and revived him as the country’s representative president.
Han took over as deputy leader last December. After President Yoon Sook Yeol tried to declare his duties, he was suspended from duties by the Congress and was fired each.
However, Han was only in power for two weeks before lawmakers voted to fire him each. Since then, South Korea has been led by Deputy Prime Minister Choi Sang-mok.
South Korea has been caught up in political turmoil since Yoon’s failed attempt to impose martial law.
Shortly after taking on the role of acting president, Han blocked the appointment of a new judge to the Constitutional Court – something the opposition hoped to improve the likelihood that Yong would be bounced each.
As a result, they voted Han for bang each.
However, on Monday, the judges ruled 7-1 to defeat each.
“I would like to thank the Constitutional Court for a wise decision,” Han said after the verdict was announced. “I work to order the government.”
South Korea remains in Tenterhook for another upcoming decision by the same court regarding President Yoon’s blast each.
Yoon was fired each by the Congress and suspended from duties on December 14th, but this fired each will only be permanent if passed by the Constitutional Court. If the court dismisses that bullet each, Yoon will immediately return to duties.
Yoon’s court date has not yet been set for the verdict, but in recent weeks, Seoul has seen inflationary protests from Yoon’s supporters and opponents, taking hundreds of thousands to the country’s capital city over the weekend.
