Small Business Saturday, a day designated to encourage consumers to spend money at small, independent businesses during the holiday season, will be held on November 30th this year.
Downtown Boise Association program manager Adan David Coulsen said local businesses in the Treasure Valley are preparing for that day.
“Boise has the highest concentration of local businesses in all of Idaho, so being able to promote these local businesses is huge for us,” Coulsen said in an interview.
Although Small Business Saturday focuses on shopping local during the holiday season, business owners like Record Exchange co-owner and marketing director Chad Dryden believe that for continued success, says they really need support.
“It’s essential, not only for us, but also for other people who run small businesses for our customers, to know that our money is staying in the community,” Dryden said. .
