Air transport technology specialist SITA has launched a new cybersecurity solution designed to protect critical airport and airline infrastructure.
According to the company, SITA Managed NAC (Network Access Control) addresses the growing demand for secure and reliable access to end users and assets.
It has been developed amid growing threats to digital infrastructure, especially in complex environments such as airports.
“SITA Managed NAC provides unparalleled protection for local area network (LAN) and wireless LAN communications with an additional layer of identity checks and network segmentation,” SITA said.
“This will enable airports and airlines to comply with industry security standards while maintaining operational efficiency and protecting passenger systems.”
Martin Smillie, senior vice president of communications and data exchange at SITA, said: “The demand for secure and reliable network access control is greater than ever, particularly at airports, where segregation of traffic and devices is paramount across different areas of the airport infrastructure and security zones.
“With increasing external threats to digital infrastructure, this solution provides an edge to critical communications systems with safeguards built into access points and switches.
“SITA Managed NAC provides full visibility and control of their communications networks, enabling customers to monitor who is accessing what, when and where.”
