“As local government instructions, avoid the area. We’ll share more updates when it’s available,” Shapiro said.
Viral videos on social media show police cars and people running through facilities as they approach hospitals. The area was blocked by police after the shot was fired.

Two law enforcement officers and nurses were injured in the shooting, according to reports.
The New York Times said, citing hospital officials, “The gunman was in the hospital on Saturday and was fired.” “The hospital is now safe and the threat is neutralised,” the hospital said.
Officials at UPMC Memorial in York reported no injuries and the gunman was reported dead, adding that law enforcement is on-premises and is managing the situation.
