I never thought I’d love a small cleaning appliance as much as the Bissell Little Green, but after trying this Shark portable cleaner, it really made me reconsider. While we truly believe that both perform extremely well and are a must-have for every home, here are the key differences:
Shark’s suction power is stronger than Bissell’s Shark’s hair is firmer than Bissell’s, but I didn’t like it because it was too harsh on the fabric of the sofa. That being said, you can also flip the brush head over to the soft silicone brush side. This is what I liked. The main brush head of the Shark is actually a very useful crevice tool. The size of the Shark Cleaner is a little smaller than the Bissell. The Shark package comes with more brush head options, including the Pet tool, but a similar Bissell Stain Trapper tool typically costs about $40 if purchased separately from the main Little Green appliance package. The Shark cleaner has a shorter cord than the Bissell (I had to get an extension cord when cleaning my car). Shark’s formula comes in two separate bottles and is a little more expensive than Bissell’s formula.
Overall, the two appliances are pretty similar, but the Shark is a little more powerful, smaller, and has more accessories. However, the cost of the cleaning solution and having to use two cleaning solutions is a bit of a hassle. This is a very convenient vacuum cleaner, so I highly recommend it!
