CHICAGO (CBS) — Seven Chicago suspects are charged in connection with luxury car robbery. It happened in Wisconsin about a year ago.
Some of the men indicted had already been convicted in connection with a horrific carjacking in Milwaukee.

Stanley Smith Jr., 41, was shot and killed on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at approximately 6:20 p.m., outside the Taco Bell at 5630 W. North Avenue in Milwaukee’s Uptown neighborhood.
According to a criminal complaint reported by CBS 58 Milwaukee, Smith was at the Scene 1 Restaurant and Lounge on North Avenue in Milwaukee, a block away from the shooting scene. CBS 58 reports that prosecutors say Smith intervened to prevent the vehicle from being stolen and was involved in a struggle with masked men near his black sport utility vehicle when Smith was shot and killed. Police are still searching for four suspects in the Waukesha car robbery: Dequarion Williams, Lamar Walker, Levar Ward, and Lamont Jackson.
Police said they were able to connect all the suspects because they were all on a group call at the time of the robbery.
There is another driver, but his identity is unknown.
