“Very quick and very athletic” On Monday, visiting Seneca jumped out to a 2-0 lead at halftime and cruised to a 5-2 win over Warren in a non-region game at War Memorial Field.
“They were by far the fastest team we’ve seen this season.” Added Warren coach Mark Ordiway, whose Dragons have an overall record of 2-5. “But I want to praise our players for fighting hard for the full 80 minutes. We play with heart.”
Madison Jones is “Beautiful mountain pass” According to Ordiway, the ball was played into space near the box, where Meer Irwin curled a shot into the opposite corner for Warren’s first goal.
Meer fed Lani Wenzel just outside the box, who smashed a powerful shot just over the keeper’s hands for the second goal.
“I thought Charlotte Keyport played great defense at left back.” Ordiway says. “She helped cover and clean up Seneca’s attacks. Kaylee Seifert has been strong this season as an outside midfielder. She understands her role and is good at dropping back and helping out. Bella Campbell continued her strong play in goal, making an incredible 26 saves.”
Seneca is 5-0 overall.
