Chillicothe IVC 51, St. Thomas More 11. Five different players scored for the Sabers (4-12), but no one scored more than one basket in the loss.
Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 56, Iroquois West 29. The Falcons (15-3) did what you would expect from one of the best teams in the area in a lopsided win. Kenley Hendershot scored 13 points for the Raiders (7-9).
Hoopeston Area 54, Arcola 53 (OT). The game went into overtime, but the Cornjerkers (9-6) got the job done, thanks to Addison Kernhofer’s 19 points and Claire Dixon’s 18 points. Despite the loss, Casey Sisk had a career-high 35 points and 16 rebounds for the Purple Riders (10-6), and Crystal Ramirez added seven points and eight rebounds.

In Morris. Rantoul had a tough day as a team, losing to St. Bede’s 40-30, Morris 48-27, Yorkville 71-6 and Bradley Bourbonnais 48-24. Individually, Brandon Almanza (157 pounds), Darius Williams (165 pounds) and Harley Schultz (175 pounds) were the standouts, each earning three wins.
At Springfield. Rantoul’s Jasmine Johnson took second place in the 105-pound weight class at the Lanphier Jeff Gardner Memorial Tournament. She won by a 20-4 technical fall in the first round, but suffered a fall late in the second period of the championship match.
Men’s swimming and diving
