Investigating AI Assist Functions
With the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition 2023 FPS03 release, innovative AI features will continue to be shipped at a fast pace. They help businesses improve employee productivity, support decision-making, and provide predictive insights.
The new AI features include:
AI Assisted Journal Upload: This feature simplifies the process of creating journal entries using generated AI technology. It is designed to help accountants manage large backlogs. This is often necessary for transactions, temporary posts, settlements, occurrences, and regulations that take place outside the accounting system. By leveraging AI technology, this feature improves efficiency and accuracy in managing journal entries, ultimately benefiting accountants and the financial sector. Forecast Labor Demand Planning: Labor Demand Planning enables forecasting of planned periods for the picking and packaging process, increasing the efficiency of planning resources and workloads. By utilizing historical workload data, this feature provides accurate forecasts of task durations and eliminates the need for widespread pre-processing or reliance on engineered labor standards. This feature allows warehouses to optimize labor allocation and reduce inefficiencies by predicting the time required for tasks such as picking, packing, and outbound delivery. AI-based explanation of detailed scheduling optimizer results This complexity can leave planners uncertain about decisions made by the optimizer, making it difficult to deal with exceptions efficiently. SAP’s AI Assistant includes the ability to provide a detailed explanation of the scheduling optimizer plan results. The production planner can ask questions in natural language via the chat interface, allowing you to intuitively understand what happened during the scheduling process. This helps them focus on any exception. AI helps you get started with your company’s services: repair shops have a significant amount of paperwork. Manually converting this form-based information into an SAP system is labor intensive, error-prone, and can lead to data loss, especially under tight deadlines. By helping to launch internal services, AI utilizes document information extraction services to capture documents from incoming calls. The SAP system automatically extracts the required data and creates a list of repair objects for the corresponding internal service. The repair staff will then check the order they were generated and continue processing it until it is completed.

The massive changes in price scales in central purchase agreements allow procurement experts to efficiently perform massive changes in central purchase agreements by uploading or downloading scale values for item condition types using Microsoft Excel.

Improved data integration and flexibility for planning your financial planning data app: To continuously optimize the integration of SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, the new framework in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition allows you to efficiently configure and schedule jobs for financial planning data integrated into the SAP Analytics Cloud Private Edition. Hedging of subsidiaries’ exposures by the Ministry of Finance Center (Balance Sheet FX Risk) aggregates the subsidiaries’ balance sheet exposure at the financial center level and centers on hedging of net exposures without additional internal transactions.
Manufacturing
Manage Production Model Materials App: The Production Model provides a joint view of manufacturing bills (MBOM) and shop floor routing to promote the definition of hand-handed mobile phones of MBOM components supported by 3D visuals of MBOM header materials. Check the Optimization Log App: Increased transparency in the production planner is available through insights into status indicators, runtime metrics, cost, and solution quality metrics.
R&D
Project Cost Overview and Project Cost Line Items App for inclusion of Service Transactions: Project Cost and Service Business Management Project Transparency is possible by analyzing the service contract items and service order items assigned to WBS elements. The standard content of Hazardous Materials Control allows users to continually consume the latest compliance requirements for Hazardous Materials Management by benefiting from a simple process and receiving prompt and frequent updates of Hazardous Materials Control.
Service Management
Service tier with collective accounting: Grouping service order groupings into service tiers and integrating financial reporting and revenue recognition to increase commercial flexibility in creating bundled service offerings.

Maintenance order management simplifies the management of maintenance orders. This new SAP Fiori app allows planners to view a comprehensive list view of maintenance orders, create maintenance orders, and process individual orders. “AS-Found” data recording in performance maintenance jobs: Improve asset reliability data recording by recording AS found conditions for maintained assets in maintained maintenance jobs.
