The growing chain of eclectic sandwich shops will soon open its first Long Island location.
A favorite of trendy New York City neighbourhood residents like Long Island City and Greenpoint, the Comptons are coming to a 1,500-square-foot long space on 5 Jackson Avenue in Sisett.

The rapid concept comes from the brainchild of Sandwich Brothers Alex Compton and Jimmy Collins, who grew up in Westchester County and were friends since high school. Former commercial mortgage broker Compton and serial entrepreneur Collins opened their first Compton eatery in Astoria in 2018.
Compton is not their only joint business venture. The pair owns a marketing agency and a vinyl wrapping service called Upside Media. But the growing sandwich chain is certainly their most tasty company with its slogan “Everybody Eats.”
“There is attention to detail about how the food is prepared, and we use fresh ingredients every day,” Compton told Libn. “That’s our view on New York classics with our touch of elevation. There are homemade sauces and breads that are unique to Compton’s.”

Straight from Compton’s menu, there are a variety of creative hand-on-hand offerings, including the popular vodka chicken palm, chicken cutlets, melted sharp proboron, ricotta spreads, and house vodka sauce. Combine chopped cheese, Angus beef, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise and ketchup. With fresh bullata, bacon, arugula, tomatoes, mayonnaise and balsamic drizzle, the bulata BLT drizzles over the toasted seeded semolina hero.
Compton’s menu also includes a selection of two Medium eggs: New Yorker-like wraps, burgers, cheesesteaks, salads, breakfast sandwiches, bacon, sausages, ham, turkey bacon, American cheese and red pepper aioli It’s there. Side selections include tater tots, jalapeño poppers, potato salad, corn nuggets, and fries. In addition to Dine-In and take-out options, Compton’s also offers catering.
Syosset Compton’s is owned and operated by Silas David, a franchisee who owns the Compton franchise at Whitesone. The all-in costs for opening a sandwich shop in Compton range from $200,000 to $350,000.
Currently, Compton locations are available at Sea Set Shop, Astoria, Greenpoint, Whitestone and Cliffside Park, New Jersey, at Long Island City, Astoria, Greenpoint, Whitestone and Cliffside Park, and are scheduled to open this spring. And the company will soon open in East Village, Manhattan.
The chain is looking for more sites and franchisees to open up and around New York’s metropolitan area.
