Cindy Crawford and Laura Dern express enthusiasm about new venue
A new exclusive private club has opened in Santa Monica, offering an exclusive seaside retreat for Los Angeles’ elite.
San Vicente Santa Monica, hotelier Jeff Klein’s latest venture, has a $40 million price tag and is designed to lure the Hollywood establishment, The New York Times reported. It debuted last month with numerous amenities. The club is located on the top floor and rooftop of a building on Ocean Avenue, offering panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. Members enjoy indoor and outdoor dining, a rooftop bar, billiards room, 50-seat screening room, and event space. A 5,000-square-foot rooftop deck is a standout feature.
Known for his San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood, Klein has once again created a space that combines privacy, luxury, and exclusivity. Membership fees range from $3,200 to $15,000 depending on age, with annual dues up to $4,200.
The NYT reported that celebrities such as Cindy Crawford and Laura Dern have expressed enthusiasm about the new venue. “For people who live in Los Angeles, this is a big deal,” Crawford told the Times.
The club’s interior, designed by Lisa Koch, recalls the aesthetic of the mid-20th century Italian Riviera. It features Japanese walnut paneling, silk pleated lampshades and a ‘tent room’ covered in Pierre Frey fabric. Klein’s goal was to create a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere reminiscent of old Hollywood during the holidays.
