If you’re an avid Sam’s Club shopper, there’s good news when it comes to memberships. On August 19, the membership warehouse known for selling everyday items in bulk announced new membership benefits that will be offered to Club and Plus members at no extra cost.
To streamline members’ shopping experience, Sam’s Club membership benefits now include additional perks like curbside pickup, same-day delivery, shipping, etc. Here’s everything you need to know about the new member benefits changes.
What are the new Sam’s Club membership benefits?
Free curbside pickup
Club members can now get free in-store pickup on eligible items totaling $50 or more, but the current $4 fee will apply per eligible order if the $50 minimum isn’t met.
Free shipping for Plus members
Plus members no longer have to worry about the $8 fee on eligible “basket orders” over $50. The membership now includes free delivery from your local Sam’s Club on eligible orders over $50, and same-day delivery service when ordered by 1pm local time. Orders that don’t meet the $50 minimum will still be subject to the current $8 fee.
Currently, Sam’s Club offers same-day delivery to most areas within a 15-mile radius of its warehouse stores and hopes to expand its reach further soon.
Free shipping for Plus members
Plus members receive free shipping on eligible orders over $50. All other eligible orders under $50 are subject to a flat rate of $8.
Plus members already receive many perks and rewards as a member, including earning 2% Sam’s Cash on eligible purchases in-store and receiving 10 free generic prescriptions. Members also enjoy early shopping starting at 8 a.m. all week (except Sundays) at select locations.
If you’re interested in becoming a new Sam’s Club member or are a current club member looking to upgrade, you can easily apply online.
