Signing a National Intent (NLI) to play college sports and attend school is always a critical moment for student-athletes. Carl Bede, a senior at South Prairie Max, is no different.
Böhm, who graduated from this spring, carved into his NLI to play football for the Falcons at Concordia University, Wisconsin this fall.
“I’m extremely excited to continue studying and have the opportunity to play soccer.” Senior Bem said. “We enjoyed the school, the people and the environment. Their linebacker room gives us the opportunity to compete in playing time as a true freshman.”
Future Falcon said his favorite class in high school was the science class he had. Finding a school to attend took me a while, but I didn’t know much what to study.
“I want to get a degree in the undergraduate chiropractic department.” I said. “The undergraduate is not finished for four years and another three years at graduate degree school.”
With at least seven years of education, time will tell whether he began practicing in South Prairie or elsewhere. One thing is for sure, the first four years will be in Wisconsin.
What will it look like on the recruitment radar for Northern Athletic College Conference schools?
Networking is a single word answer.
“I was at NDSU (North Dakota State) soccer combine camp and the Concordia coach was there.” I said. “At that point, the recruitment process was taken up and we’re here.”
Football begins on August 13th, and the family is preparing to split the time to support sophomore Jameson playing for this year’s Wisconsin Gridiron and his brother’s royal family.
“We’ll travel a lot this fall.” Mom – Aminda Boehm. “We’re excited, but we’re certainly going to earn miles.”
