South American authorities say an engraved Rolex watch belonging to “John Wick” actor Keanu Reeves that was stolen in Los Angeles last year has been recovered in Chile.
The watch was discovered after jewelry, valuable watches and stolen goods were seized in an arrest linked to a violent robbery in the eastern part of the capital, Santiago, Chilean investigative police announced on Saturday X.
The items included “a watch belonging to a well-known movie actor who was the victim of a robbery in Los Angeles (USA) in December 2023,” the agency said.
Several photos in the post seem to be showcasing Rolex. The back cover of the watch is engraved with “THE JOHN WICK FIVE”. The engraving also says “KEANU THANK YOU JW4 2021”.
In a television interview with Chilean broadcaster TVN on Monday, police officials confirmed that the Rolex belonged to Reeves, 60. Police officials said they are working with the Los Angeles Police Department to determine how to return the Rolex to him.
Los Angeles Police Department told NBC News on Monday that the robbery investigation is ongoing and there were no further updates.
Reeves’ representatives could not be reached for comment Monday night.
TMZ reported that Reeves’ Los Angeles home was broken into last year. A gun was reported stolen from the premises.
Reeves has been a leading figure in Hollywood for decades. His film work includes blockbusters such as “Speed,” “John Wick,” and the “Matrix” series.
