The Paley Center for Media adds four prominent executives to its board of directors.
Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots and CEO of the Kraft Group, David Solomon, CEO of Goldman Sachs, Stephen Swartz, CEO of Hearst, and CEO of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. Maribel Perez Wadsworth joins Paley’s Board of Trustees.
“We are honored to welcome this extraordinary group of dynamic and distinguished leaders to our Board of Directors,” Maureen J. Reidy, president and CEO of the Paley Center, said in a statement. “Their expertise and vision have had a lasting impact on the fields of sport, business, media and journalism, and we are grateful for the valuable insight and experience they bring. It strengthens our mission and helps solidify Paley’s role as a leading nonprofit organization in the media industry.”
The new board members come as the Paley Center hosts its annual International Council Summit with speakers including John Malone, Adam Silver, Phil Spencer, and other influential executives from the world of media, technology, and entertainment. I came to the post because I am planning to do so.
Paley’s board is chaired by former Hearst CEO and current executive vice chairman Frank Benack, along with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav, and Apple executive Eddie Cue. The list includes many celebrities in the media world, including Mr. CEO Neil Mohan, Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch and many others.
The Paley Center has locations in New York and Los Angeles and hosts permanent exhibits and events related to the world of media and entertainment, including the annual Summit and PaleyFest fan events. It also houses an extensive archive of media, including decades of radio and television broadcasts.
