Rice Business’ annual conference, “Sparking Success: The Intersection of Business and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion,” will be held on October 25th. The event brings together academics, business leaders, and communications experts for dialogue and skill-building on diversity and equity. Inclusion in Business (DEI).
“Sparking Success” provides a forum for awareness and discussion with panels showcasing the science of DEI, how to improve your company’s DEI, why neurodiversity matters, legal considerations, and how to handle difficult conversations .

In her keynote address, Mickey Hebl, Martha and Henry Marcon Lovett Chair of Psychological Sciences at Rice University, will discuss her latest book, “Working Together: Practicing the Science of Diversity,” co-authored with Eden King. Research results from “Equity and Inclusion” will be presented. This book helps leaders recognize the imperative of DEI in their organizations, identify their own personal and organizational barriers, and identify strategies to work together to achieve positive and lasting change. We combine case study descriptions with large-scale, robust evidence to help you.
