Revolut announced in a LinkedIn post on Friday (August 23) that the Revolut Business Payment Gateway is now available to integrate with BigCommerce.
The integration will make payment processing smoother for online businesses and provide a seamless checkout experience for customers, Revolut said in a blog post on Aug. 15.
According to the report, the integration will enable retailers to accept a range of payment methods, enable next-day settlement, and accept and settle funds in more than 25 currencies.
This also allows for “higher payment success rates and lower transaction fees,” Revolut said in the post, “plus there are no additional refund or fraud monitoring fees.”
The integration also allows users to manage payments and see analytics in the BigCommerce admin dashboard, enables Revolut’s more than 45 million customers to make payments directly from their Revolut balance with a 98.5% authorization rate, and protects their business with PCI-DSS compliance and Revolut Business fraud monitoring tools, the post said.
Revolut said in July that it had added 12 million new customers last year, bringing its customer base to 45 million as of June.
The London-based fintech company also said in its 2023 annual report that revenue grew by 95% from $1.1 billion in 2022 to $2.2 billion in 2023.
“Having reached 45 million retail customers globally six months into 2024, Revolut is set to grow exponentially in 2024 and beyond, as we continue to redefine financial services,” Revolut CEO Nick Storonski said at the time.
In July, Revolut also announced that it had received a banking license in its native Britain. The country’s Prudential Regulation Authority granted the license on a limited basis, putting Revolut into the “restricted authorisation” process, a typical step for many new British banks.
“Nothing will change for UK customers during this restriction period. This is to allow new banks like Revolut to finish building their banking operations in the UK before entering the market,” the company said in a press release at the time. “Until then, UK customers can continue to use their Revolut eMoney accounts as usual.”
