Ukrainian military recruitment officers raided restaurants, bars and concert halls in the capital Kiev, checked military registration documents and detained men who did not comply, local media and witnesses said.
Police descended on the Sports Palace venue after the Ukrainian rock band’s concert, and video footage broadcast by local media showed police stationed outside the doors of the concert hall blocking the men from leaving. .
