Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby addressed the firing of coach Antonio Pierce, who aggressively pushed the team to move up to full-time, on his podcast on Tuesday.

Crosby said he loves being a Raider and wants to stay with the franchise long-term, but has also said multiple times that he’ll “see how it goes.” Crosby said this is an important offseason and he wants to see what happens with the coaching hire.
“There’s a lot of decisions you have to make, not just on a personal level. You have to make the decision that’s best for you,” Crosby said on his podcast. “I’ll go see. I don’t know what the coach is going to be, the front office. There’s going to be a lot of changes. Again…we’ll see what happens. I love being a Raider. I want to win here. I want to win with the Raiders, but we’ll have to wait and see. There’s going to be a lot of changes. We’re just going to take it one day at a time.”
Crosby’s message at the end of Pierce’s tenure was the same as last year, when he reportedly said he would consider requesting a trade if Pierce, tired of constant change, didn’t get the job. Now, a year later, more changes are occurring.
Last month, Crosby speculated about his future with the team given the uncertainty.
He buys into team owner Mark Davis’ desire to win, and it’s clear Crosby wants to remain with the team that drafted him in the fourth round in 2019. But it’s also clear he’s tired of the changes and is now facing them again.
Crosby appeared on his NFL radio show, SiriusXM, and said the team could quickly turn its fortunes around if it moves in the right direction.
It’s clear that Crosby is frustrated, but I don’t think he’ll demand action. He will see what changes have taken place before moving forward. But after six seasons with the Raiders, there’s no question his patience is wearing thin.
My take on Max Crosby: He wants to stay, but he’s tired of going back to square one. Mark Davis better get it right if he’s part of the next administration. Because I don’t think Crosby wants to be here for long. It will reset again in a year or two, which is reasonable. #raiders
