Prime Minister Rachel Reeves defended accepting free tickets for the Sabrina Carpenter concert, adding that she would declare them.
On Sunday with BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg, Reeves said they attended a concert with their family a few weeks ago.
“I have security right now, which means attending a concert is not as easy as it has been in the past,” she said.
Prime Minister Kiel tightened the rules regarding ministers accepting gifts and hospitality in November after he and many Cabinet ministers faced criticism over the donation.

Sir Kiel paid over £6,000 for his own gifts and hospitality, which he had received since becoming prime minister after the rebellion. This figure included the costs of six Taylor Swift tickets.
Nevertheless, the Prime Minister defended the acceptance of corporate hospitality from the Arsenal Football Club in September.
The Premier League Football Club has made two seats available for IR Kiel in the corporate area of Emirates Stadium.
The Prime Minister explained when he was advised that the security costs needed to sit in the stands would cost more taxpayers.
The new rules introduced last year did not prohibit ministers from accepting donations, but now they need to consider the “need to maintain public trust.”
Reeves was asked by Quensburg why she didn’t pay for the ticket. The Prime Minister replied that they were not tickets you could pay.
“These tickets didn’t have a price,” she said.
Her confirmation follows reports from many media outlets about the story earlier this week.
In September 2024, the Prime Minister said he would not accept donations of clothing in his current role after it was revealed he had accepted such donations while opposed.
She was one of many labor politicians who faced questions after accepting clothes worth thousands of pounds as gifts before the election.
Reeves previously told the BBC that accepting donations to pay for clothes was not something she intended to do as a government minister.
As a Minister of Government, Reeves will receive a salary of £91,346 as of April 2024 as an MP, plus an additional amount to be Minister.
The Prime Minister’s salary for fiscal year 2022/23 was £67,505.
Shadow Chancellor Mel Stride was quized on a gift with Laura Kuenssberg on Sunday regarding the BAFTA tickets accepted by Ski Passes and Shadow Business Secretary Andrew Griffith.
Griffith’s registered profits detailed on the Parliament website are estimated to be worth £4,000 for the declaration of two tickets with the 2025 British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) hospitality.
The Shadow Business secretary also declared that for a trip to Switzerland in January, he would lead two worthy values: Ski-Passes.
Stride said on Sunday that he didn’t know any specific details.
Speaking of both Griffith and Reeves, Stride said:
In a statement to the BBC, Griffith said:
He added that he “eagerly registered” the hospitality he received and did so for the two instances cited.
“BAFTA is a celebration of the Creative Sector, one of the UK’s largest exporters, and the Minister of Labor was also present,” he said.
“It could be more of a story that Shadow Business and Trade Secretary didn’t attend.”
Regarding the ski passes for Congress ski trips, he said it was a “long-standing cross-party event” because he emphasized that it personally covers flight and accommodation costs.
“This includes social events with Swiss lawmakers, and these are elements that were properly disclosed in my interest register,” Griffith added.
