Crypto is coming to Europe’s popular luxury retailers. Printemps, a popular chain of luxury brands, will start accepting cryptocurrencies for payments, according to reports.
The luxury store operator has partnered with Binance Pay and Lyzi to offer customers the option to pay using top-of-the-line cryptocurrencies. Binance Pay provides a contactless and secure global payment system that supports 300 cryptocurrencies.
With this agreement, customers of all four Printemps brands and over 20 stores across France will be able to enjoy the convenience and security of encrypted payments. The company said the cryptocurrency integration will serve more than 6.5 million French customers.
Cryptocurrency use cases continue to expand
Printemps’ collaboration with Binance Pay and Lyzi reflects the continued expansion of crypto use cases. By integrating Binance Pay and Lyzi into its cashier department, the company can now offer secure and flexible payment options to over 6.5 million French crypto consumers.
Printemps currently has 20 stores nationwide.

Emmanuel Switzer, chief partnerships officer, said in a statement that the company is proud to be the first department store network in the country to accept cryptocurrencies and domestic and international customers.
Suissa added that the partnership with Lyzi and Binance Pay will improve the shopping experience and connect customers using Web 3.0 solutions.
With Binance Pay integration, Printemps shoppers can now pay using Bitcoin as well as popular altcoins and stablecoins such as USDC and Tether. Lyzi is a leading cryptocurrency payment solution that supports over 70 cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Binance USD, and Ethereum.
