New Delhi:
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu directly addressed the Iranian people on Monday, sending a clear and strong message. The Israeli leader’s speech, delivered in English with Farsi subtitles, conveyed both a warning to the Iranian regime and an assurance to the people. The message came amid escalating Israeli actions against Iranian-backed groups in the Middle East.
Prime Minister Netanyahu accused Iran’s leadership of allegedly prioritizing regional conflicts over the welfare of its own people. “Every day we see a subjugated regime that is making fiery speeches about defending Lebanon and defending Gaza,” Netanyahu said, adding that the Iranian government is “plunging the region into deeper darkness and deeper war.” ” he added.
Prime Minister Netanyahu cited Iran’s support for Hezbollah and Hamas, which are in violent conflict with Israel, and said Iranian proxies were being systematically targeted. “Iran’s puppets are being removed,” he said. “There is no place we won’t go to protect the people,” he added.
“The regime is moving the noble Persian people closer to the abyss with each passing moment,” he said. “The majority of Iranians know that their regime doesn’t care about them at all. If the Iranian regime doesn’t care about them at all, then what if Iran If you cared about that, you would stop wasting billions of dollars on pointless wars across the Middle East. It would start improving your lives.”
“Imagine if all the huge sums of money that the regime wasted on nuclear weapons and foreign wars were invested in educating our children, improving our health care, our country’s infrastructure, water and sewage, and everything else we need. Imagine that.”
Prime Minister Netanyahu predicted a future in which Iran would be freed from theocratic rule and envisioned a new era of peace between Israel and Iran. He expressed confidence that change would come “much sooner than people think.” Prime Minister Netanyahu says Iran will enjoy prosperity through global investment, tourism and technological advances after taking power.
“When Iran is finally free, and that moment will come much sooner than people think, everything will change,” he said. “Our two ancient peoples, the Jews and the Persians, will finally be at peace. Our two nations, Israel and Iran, will also be at peace.
“When that day comes, the terrorist networks that the regime has built on five continents will be bankrupt and dismantled. We’re going to prosper like never before, with innovation and all that. “Sounds better than endless poverty, oppression, and war, doesn’t it?”
This direct message comes in the wake of Israel’s increased operations against Iranian proxies. Days before Prime Minister Netanyahu’s statement, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out a major airstrike on Hezbollah’s headquarters in Beirut, killing Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. The airstrike reportedly also claimed the life of a senior Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) official. Nasrallah’s death was celebrated by Iranian dissidents around the world.
“You deserve better. Your children deserve better. The whole world deserves better. You don’t support the rapists and murderers of Hamas and Hezbollah. We know, but our leaders support you. You deserve more. The Iranian people should know – Israel supports you.” Together with you, we can see a future of prosperity and peace. “So,” Prime Minister Netanyahu added.
After Nasrallah’s assassination, reports emerged that Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei had been moved to a safe location amid concerns about further Israeli action.
Tensions between Israel and Iran escalated earlier this year, when Iran fired more than 300 missiles and drones at Israel in retaliation for an Israeli attack on Syria that allegedly killed several high-ranking Revolutionary Guards Corps officials. Reached new heights. Most of these missiles were intercepted by Israeli defense systems supported by the US-led coalition. Israel responded to Iran’s actions with a limited drone strike targeting a nuclear research center in Isfahan.
President Nasrallah’s assassination also occurred during an Israeli attack on Hezbollah in Lebanon. It has frequently carried out cross-border attacks against Israel, allegedly in solidarity with Hamas during the ongoing war with Israel in Gaza. Israel has steadily escalated its attacks on Hezbollah targets, resulting in significant losses to the Hezbollah leadership. Earlier this month, a mysterious explosion blamed on Israel destroyed Hezbollah communications equipment, injuring thousands of people and escalating the ongoing conflict.
