President-elect Donald Trump has been on a charm offensive in the City of Love, checking in on the British royal family and praising Prince William’s dashing appearance during an international engagement in Paris.
President Trump represented the United States on the world stage in a visit to commemorate the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral in France’s capital, which was destroyed in a fire five years ago.

The pair met at the cathedral and enjoyed small talk before meeting one-on-one at the British ambassador’s residence in Paris.
Trump then opened up to the Post about his “amazing meeting” with the prince. During our 40-minute conversation, he said: So I asked him about his father and it was sad because his father was fighting so hard and he loves his father and he loves his wife. President Trump was referring to recent health issues within the royal family, including Prince William’s wife Kate, Duchess Kate, and her father King Charles, who was diagnosed with cancer this year.
