President-elect of the United States donald trump invited the president of China Xi Jinping CBS News reported Wednesday, citing multiple sources, that he plans to attend the inauguration in Washington next month.
It is unclear whether Mr. Xi has accepted the invitation to the ceremony scheduled for January 20, the report said.
In an interview with NBC’s Meet the Press that was recorded on Friday and aired on Sunday, President Trump said: said He and Xi “communicated” as recently as last week. However, he did not say when or what was discussed.
