Donald Trump spoke glowingly of Prince William after meeting in Paris over the weekend, saying he had a “great talk” with the future king.
“He’s a good-looking guy. He looked really, really handsome last night,” Trump exclusively told the Post.
“Some people look better in person? He looked great. He seemed really nice, so I told him that,” he added.
President Trump and Prince William met on Saturday as dignitaries from around the world gathered in the City of Lights to celebrate the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral, which was devastated by a fire in 2019.
The two chatted for nearly two hours at the golden Salon Jaune in the British ambassador’s residence, where Prince William sported the graying beard he sometimes wears.
Mr. Trump wore a gold tie, which matched elegantly with the drawing room wallpaper.
President Trump said, “I had a great conversation with the prince.”
During the discussion, the leaders touched on the cancer scare the Windsors have battled in recent years. Prince William’s wife, Kate Middleton, took an extended leave of absence earlier this year to battle cancer and underwent months of chemotherapy, which she finished in September.
And just months before Middleton’s cancer was revealed, Buckingham Palace announced that Charles III had also been diagnosed with cancer and is still battling it.
“I asked about his wife and he said he was doing well. And I asked him about his father and his father is fighting very hard and he loves his father. , and I love my wife, so it was sad,” Trump said.
“We had a great talk for 30 minutes, just over 30 minutes. We had a great, great talk,” he added.
