President Donald Trump on Saturday named his ally Devin Nunes, a former U.S. congressman who now runs Trump’s social media platform Truth Social, as chairman of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Council.
Nunes, a longtime Trump defender and chair of the House Intelligence Committee during Trump’s first term, will become CEO of Truth Social while serving on the advisory board. He will stay, President Trump said in a post on his platform.

President Trump: “Mr. Devin will use his experience as former chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and his critical role in exposing Russian, Russian, and Russian disinformation to provide insight into the effectiveness and appropriateness of the work of the U.S. intelligence community.” They will provide me with an independent evaluation.”
