Former President Trump announced Tuesday that he would hold a campaign rally in Aurora, Colorado, on October 11th, where he said he would highlight the “flood” of immigrants to the city.
The rally comes after President Trump has spent weeks criticizing Colorado’s immigration situation, claiming that about 43,000 illegal immigrants have flown into nearby Denver and Aurora. His campaign also highlighted the takeover of several apartment buildings by the Torren de Aragua gang.
“Aurora, Colorado has become a ‘war zone’ due to an influx of violent Venezuelan prison gang members from Torren de Aragua. Since December 2022, approximately 43,000 migrants have been transferred to the neighboring city. “Many of these migrants are heading toward Aurora, causing chaos and fear,” the campaign said in a statement.
“Local families are forced to flee their homes as members of Torren de Aragua terrorize apartment complexes with guns, theft, and rampant drug activity. Kamala Harris’ open borders policy once has turned what was once a safe community into a nightmare for law-abiding citizens,” the statement continued.
