The Washington Commanders will have running back Brian Robinson Jr. on the field for Thursday’s big game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Coaches released the final injury report on Wednesday, and Robinson was scheduled to play in the game without being placed on injured reserve.
Robinson missed the last two games with a hamstring injury and was limited by a knee injury, missing Week 6 against Baltimore. Robinson threw for 461 yards and six touchdowns despite missing three games.
Robinson’s return means the managers will have the entire backfield active and Philadelphia’s excellent defense will prevent them from giving up points. Washington’s rushing attack was most effective when Robinson and Austin Ekeler were available. Robinson’s return will allow offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury to be more creative with Ekeler.
Robinson has rushed for 190 yards and three touchdowns in three career games with the Eagles.
In more concerning news, Washington’s top three offensive tackles are listed as questionable: Brandon Coleman (shoulder), Andrew Wylie (shoulder) and Cornelius Lucas (ankle).
Lucas missed the past two games and Wiley missed Sunday’s game against Pittsburgh. Head coach Dan Quinn addressed the media before practice and seemed positive about Lucas and Wiley, but did not mention Coleman.
