Pope Francis asks educators to faithfully and effectively convey the message of Christ and the mission of the Church in modern times.
The Holy Father did so in a letter commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Faculty of Theology in Toribeneto. The text, signed by the Pope on January 28th, was sent to Father Maurizio Girorami, the president of the facility.
The Faculty of Theology at Triveneto in Padua connects a network of five theological institutes in the northern Italian region of Veneto, Friuli Bebezia Giulia and Trentino Alto Adiguet and seven outstanding religious science institutes. Founded in 2005, several institutes gave academic theological formations to amateurs and amateurs, clergy, seminaries and religions.
In his letter, the Holy Father stated that the 20th anniversary of the teachers was “an opportunity to participate in this year, especially in the common thanksgiving to the Lord for the good achieved for the benefit of the younger generations of the region.” I pointed out that it was offering him.
Bringing Christ to the world
“I encourage,” the Holy Father emphasized. “An era in which all scholars are open to cooperating with the mission of the Church, spreading the message of Christ to the world, and being faithful to authentic traditions, but reading the signs of it.”
“This,” explained the Pope.
To achieve this goal, the Pope called the faculty “not only to deepen research and theology, but also through each individual’s Christian witnesses, it will become an increasingly important place of formation.”
“I hope,” he said. “Teachers help young people realize themselves based on the truth, goodness and beauty that has their origins in God.”
With these feelings, Pope Francis renewed his gratitude for their ongoing educational mission and commitment, concluded that they and their pursuits had sought the protection of Mary, and gave him his apostolic blessings. Ta.
