Perplexity continues to work on its upcoming shopping offering, and it’s becoming increasingly clear what this new experience will be like. We previously tested how Perplexity processes purchases and found that payments are made directly to Perplexity and Perplexity manages the rest of the process. This approach proposed a more integrated experience and positioned Perplexity as a full-service shopping intermediary.
It appears that what was previously called the “Buy with PPLX” button has been updated to the “Buy with Pro” button. This could indicate that the purchasing experience will be integrated into the Pro subscription service. New details are also emerging about how Perplexity plans to bring this functionality to users. The description suggests a seamless experience, promising “one-click purchases” and “free shipping on unlimited items.”
Buy unlimited products with one click and free shipping. We take the complexity and frustration out of online shopping. Shop like never before with Perplexity Pro.
Additionally, other tips show that Perplexity allows users to find and compose the perfect item using Perplexity Pro’s enhanced search functionality. Perplexity is expected to handle tax estimates on behalf of users, further increasing convenience. Once the purchase is complete, the user will receive a confirmation email. You can also track the status of your purchase directly within the Perplexity interface until you receive your item.
Additionally, a new tab called “Purchases” will be introduced in the settings menu, providing users with a list of all products purchased through Perplexity Pro. This reinforces the idea that if purchases were made directly through Perplexity, the company could build an integrated infrastructure to manage transactions from purchase to delivery.
In summary, Perplexity appears to be expanding not only into areas traditionally dominated by Google, but also into Amazon’s. Aiming to simplify shopping and integrate into the existing ecosystem, Perplexity seems poised to take on these two giants simultaneously and provide users with a more integrated and efficient shopping experience.

Now, on a smaller note, Perplexity is also experimenting with adding new languages, specifically Portuguese and Italian. However, these languages are still in the experimental stage and not yet publicly available.
Additionally, Perplexity now has a proper dynamic autocomplete feature that works on all models. This feature was previously only available to selected users of Sanar. This is a significant update and improves usability for all users. That’s a big improvement.
