The Best Workplaces: Private Companies list features 248 companies across 18 industries. In calculating the ratings, U.S. News considered only private companies with more than 5,000 employees that had at least 75 Glassdoor reviews written between 2020 and 2023. The methodology, developed with insights from a panel of six experts, also factored in data such as employee sentiment and regulatory enforcement data collected from U.S. News partner Revelio Labs.
