Chemical producer creating at least 84 jobs This project represents a corporate investment of at least $540 million
JACKSON, Mich. (December 10, 2024) – PCC GulfChem Corporation is establishing a manufacturing site in Delisle. The project will involve at least $540 million in corporate investment and create at least 84 jobs. In addition to the direct jobs created by PCC GulfChem, hundreds of contractor and construction jobs will also be created during the initial stages of the project.
The project company, PCC GulfChem, is a subsidiary of the German-based holding company PCC SE. PCC Group is recognized worldwide as a manufacturer of chemical raw materials and specialty chemicals, silicon and silicon derivatives, and as a container logistics operator. The company operates jointly with The Chemours Company and produces chlorine and numerous downstream products at its Chemours DeLisle plant.
The Mississippi Development Authority provides assistance through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentives (MFLEX) program. Harrison County also supports the project.
PCC GulfChem Corporation expects the new plant to begin operations in 2028.
