HANOVER TWP., Pa. – While one company is preparing to join Lehigh County’s Airport Shopping Center, another is preparing to leave for a new store in the Lehigh Valley.

A new Club Pilates location is expected to open in the Airport Shopping Center in the coming months. Club Pilates is a chain of boutique Pilates studios offering reformer-based group classes that “challenge not only the body, but the mind.”
Michelle Craciun, who runs the studio with her mother, Christina Craciun, said the new location is expected to open in November or December at 917 Airport Center Road in Hanover Township, Lehigh County.
The new Club Pilates location will operate in a renovated space that previously housed a Sprint store, which closed in 2020.

Club Pilates was founded in San Diego in 2007 and has expanded globally with over 1,000 studios on four continents.
The Craciuns also operate a year-old Club Pilates studio in Wyomissing, Berks County, and the upcoming Lehigh County studio will complement another Lehigh Valley location that is separately owned and operated in Lower Nazarene Township It will be what you do.
“We are really excited to grow in the Allentown area,” Michelle said. “It’s in a prime location, and many people have already told us that it’s convenient.”
Michelle, a Berks County resident who previously lived in Florida, fell in love with Club Pilates while taking classes at an Orlando studio.

“I started Club Pilates because of my background as a Pilates instructor,” Michelle said.

Club Pilates is a faithful successor to Joseph Pilates’ original reformer-based “Controlology” method, modernized with group practice and state-of-the-art equipment.

Leaving the Airport Shopping Center and headed to another local venue is Golf Galaxy, an interactive golf store chain.
Golf Galaxy is moving to a new location at Lehigh Valley Mall, with a grand opening scheduled for Oct. 25, according to a storefront sign.
Golf Galaxy’s new store will have its grand opening on October 25th at Lehigh Valley Mall in Whitehall Township.

The new store will occupy a renovated outdoor space that previously housed Hobby Town USA and part of the former Babies R Us store.
Golf Galaxy opened its first store in 1997 and offers “the selection and pricing of a superstore with the knowledge and service of a pro shop,” according to the company’s website description.
The company takes pride in its world-class selection of branded golf equipment, golf apparel, golf accessories, golf technology and golf gifts for golfers of all ages and abilities. This retailer also sells used golf clubs and trades in golf clubs.
With approximately 100 stores nationwide, Golf Galaxy offers comprehensive golf services and interactive golf features in addition to products.

Other changes to Airport Shopping Center
Airport Shopping Center is home to more than 20 tenants, including popular retail chains such as Ross, Target, Old Navy and Ulta Beauty. Restaurant chains include Five Guys, On the Border, Panera Bread, and Miller’s Ale House.
The creation of a Club Pilates home between Panera Bread and Great Clips is welcome news for the center, which lost its anchor tenant Christmas Tree Shops in summer 2023.
At the Airport Shopping Center in Lehigh County’s Hanover Township, the space that once housed a Christmas tree shop remains vacant.

Tenants that have joined the shopping center’s roster over the past few years include Kinya ramen and sushi, Wren Kitchens, Trek Bicycle Allentown, Buff City Soap and Wingstop.
No new tenants have been announced for the former Christmas Tree Shops space or the space occupied by Golf Galaxy.
