A robbery was committed at LAFC forward Olivier Giroud’s Los Angeles home earlier this month, and the burglar reportedly stole items worth around $500,000 during the incident.
Giroud and his family were not at home at the time of the robbery on February 5th. A person who called the police said that windows were broken in the bedroom on the second floor for each ESPN, and that the jewels and 10 gorgeous clocks had broken windows. It was stolen. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, but the Los Angeles Police Department continues to investigate the issue.
The World Cup winners have joined the growing list of celebrities who have been victims of home robbery in recent months, including NFL stars Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kels and Joe Barrow. It is currently unknown whether the robbery of Giroud’s house is related to other famous cases.
Former French international Giroud was inside LAFC in the middle of the preseason when the robbery happened. He played his first game with the club this season, losing 2-1 to Colorado Rapids in the first round of the Konka Kafu Champions Cup on Tuesday.
LAFC will return to action on Saturday, hosting Minnesota United in the first game of the 2025 MLS season.
