LOS ANGELES — Ohio State University has sold out its allotment of Rose Bowl tickets, a school spokesperson announced Monday.
The Buckeyes received 12,500 tickets to the New Year’s Day bowl game, which will host the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff. This assignment also includes the Ohio State Marching Band.
That’s a smaller allocation than the Buckeyes were given three years ago when they played Utah in the Grand Daddy of Them All, but that game wasn’t part of the playoffs.
The Buckeyes have sold about 13,000 of their allotted 20,000 tickets for the Rose Bowl, which concludes the 2021 season. Quarterback CJ Stroud rushed for a school-record 573 yards and six touchdowns, leading to a 48-45 victory over the Utes.
Kickoff between the Buckeyes and top-seeded and undefeated Oregon State in the 12-team playoffs is Wednesday at 5 p.m.
