Jesse Noel has been named regional director for the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority West.
Noel has been with the Conservation Service for over six years, serving as Chief Engineer and Operations Director. Prior to joining the organization, he worked as a consulting engineer.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from LSU.
Brad Bosch has been promoted to deputy director of the organization.
Bosch has been with the organization since 2007 and manages all financial, contract, audit and administrative functions.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of New Orleans.

Farrah K. Miah has resigned as president and CEO of the Southern Women’s Business Council.
Mia led the organization for the past nine years. During that time, she opened WB Collective, New Orleans’ first coworking space exclusively for women-owned businesses, and established SBA Women’s Business Centers in Memphis and Nashville, Tennessee.
Susan Faulkner Stenz, Chairman Emeritus, has been appointed interim CEO.

Amanda Carlin has been promoted to chief marketing officer at DNA Workshop.
Mr. Carlin joined the architecture firm’s staff in January 2023 as Marketing Director. Prior to that, he was the creative director of WAFB, where he won three Emmy Awards.

Dr. Julie Newman has joined Ochsner Medical Complex The Grove as an orthopedic surgeon.
Neumann treats conditions such as Achilles tendon problems, ligament injuries, fractures, arthritis, rotator cuff tears, meniscus and ACL injuries.
She received her medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Newman completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Duke University Medical Center, a sports medicine fellowship at Karlan Jobe Orthopedic Clinic, and a foot and ankle fellowship at the University of Utah.

Dr. Zachary Dawes joins Ochsner Health Center O’Neill to practice physical therapy and rehabilitation.
He earned his medical degree from William Carey College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his physical therapy and rehabilitation training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
