The planned Oasis Sports Complex will be discussed today at a joint meeting between Cape Coral City Council and the Governance Committee of the Cape Coral Charter School Authority.
The site plan with a 30% design calls for a 3.66 acres in hardscape and a 4.83 acres and 7,076 square feet of green space.
The multi-purpose complex, which will be built on the east side of the Oasis Charter School campus, includes 1,160 bleachers on the home side and 580 on the visitors side.
A food truck area for three trucks and 265 new parking spaces is also part of the design.
Oasis High has 23 competitive advantages for boys and girls, including baseball, basketball, bowling, cheer, dance, cross country, soccer, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track, volleyball, wrestling, weightlifting, etc. There is an athletic team. You may add lacrosse.
The current 900 student enrollment, with high schools reaching 1,058 students by 2030, is estimated to have begun with 25 students in 2009, when it opened in 2009.
Over 40% of the student population is currently participating in athletic teams. By 2026, the high school is expected to have a soccer team of 75 students.
The meeting will take place on February 19th at 3:30pm in the City Council meeting room at 1015 Cultural Park Blvd. The meeting is open to the public.
