Hell hasn’t frozen over yet, but Oasis has reformed.
Now, 15 years after their breakup, brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher have apparently put their differences aside and announced a series of concerts in the UK and Ireland in 2025. The group announced the Oasis Live ’25 tour early Tuesday morning, but details of the North American dates have yet to be announced, and it’s unclear which original band members will join the Gallagher brothers.
Oasis are scheduled to play shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin in the summer of 2025. According to a press release, these will be their only European shows next year, with “plans underway to bring Oasis Live ’25 to other continents outside of Europe later next year.”
“The guns have fallen silent,” the band said in a statement. “The stars have aligned. The long wait is over. Come see us. It won’t be televised.”
“This is what’s happening.”
Tickets go on sale this Saturday, August 31st (๐ฎ๐ช8AM IST / ๐ฌ๐ง9AM BST).

The band officially confirmed they were reuniting after a weekend of rumours and social media speculation – coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the 2024 Reading Festival (which Oasis headlined in 2000) and their debut album, Definitely Maybe – when reports began emerging that the Gallagher brothers were settling their 15-year feud and announcing a series of UK concerts in 2025.
Indeed, similar rumors have surfaced over the past few years, and at first, indefatigable Liam appeared to dispel them again by replying to a fan’s question with, “This is new to me” and “I have no idea.” But eventually, Gallagher’s tweets became more teasing and vague, including a standalone message that read, “I’ve never liked the word ‘ex.'”
On Sunday, the Oasis account appeared to confirm something, tweeting the message: “27.08.24, 8am.”
Oasis were one of the defining bands of the Britpop era and were one of the biggest bands in the world for nearly two decades. During their early career, from 1991 to 2009, they released seven albums including classics like “Definitely Maybe” and “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?”.

But the band’s success in the ’90s and 2000s was matched only by years of tension between Noel and Liam: after the band’s break-up, the brothers were not shy about criticizing each other in the press, often claiming that each other was to blame for Oasis never getting back together.
Since Oasis split, both Gallagher brothers have focused on other projects: Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds has released four albums since 2011, with the most recent, Council Skies, coming out last year, while Liam released two albums with the band Beady Eye before releasing three solo albums and a collaboration with John Squire earlier this year.
Tickets for the UK show will go on sale from 9am local time on Saturday 31 August via Ticketmaster, Gigs and Tours and See Tickets. Tickets for the Dublin show will go on sale the same day from 8am local time on Ticketmaster.
