There are new and convenient benefits available to Walmart+ members!
Walmart recently announced that same-day pharmacy delivery will be available in 49 states. This means that customers can deliver common goods, grocery orders and prescription medications to the door in one online order.
Standard Walmart Pharmacy Delivery is a free profit for Walmart+ members (saving $9.95 per delivery) and you don’t need a minimum if you have a prescription in your basket. Additional charges apply to Express (3 hours) and 1 hour shipping methods.
Even if you are not a Walmart+ member, you can still provide a prescription, but you will be charged per order based on your shipping preferences.
Here’s how Walmart Pharmacy Delivery works:
Simply sign in or create a pharmacy account to enable prescription delivery.
Once the pharmacist fills up the prescription, you will be notified that your order is ready to be delivered through your Walmart.com account. You can then choose your same day schedule, on-demand, or express delivery method.
Insurance plans apply to transactions just like when you receive a prescription in-store. You can also use your FSA or HSA account to pay for eligible purchases.
The driver will deliver Walmart Pharmacy orders during the selected time window. The drug is delivered in tamper-proof packages, allowing you to track your orders in real time. Once delivered, you will receive a photo confirmation via the Walmart app and email.
Things to remember when scheduling delivery at Walmart Pharmacy
Most patients are eligible for Walmart Pharmacy Delivery. Your eligibility may vary depending on the type of prescription, insurance restrictions, and delivery area. If you have any questions about your individual situation, please contact your local Walmart Pharmacy. Not all families need to register with W+ to schedule pharmacy delivery. However, individuals considering a delivery schedule must be W+ registered and have their family already added to their account to deliver their prescription. Go to “My Account” and select “Manage Family” to add family members to your account. Most prescription drugs and supplements are eligible for delivery, with a few exceptions. Controlled substances, refrigerated drugs, and Medicare Part B items are not eligible for delivery from Walmart Pharmacy.
