Shop items from Nordstrom Main Store.
Nordstrom Rack items are not necessarily sourced from Nordstrom’s main store. To ensure you’re getting a bargain, check the price tag. White price tags with “Nordstrom Rack” written across the top are often items that are never carried at Nordstrom.
To get designer deals, look for tags that say “Nordstrom” as shown above. This indicates that the item came from a mainline store and is likely a bargain.
In some cases, the tag may not have “Nordstrom” on it, but instead may have a designer price tag. These are often sold at Nordstrom’s main store and are a great bargain.
Don’t forget to keep an eye out for red clearance tags. These are often found towards the back of Nordstrom Rack, but don’t be surprised if you find them hidden elsewhere in the store.
Look for items marked “altered” or “refinished”.
This indicates that the item is a modified or refurbished designer item from Nordstrom’s mainline store, but these items have a Nordstrom Rack price tag.
Find the elusive .01 tag!
Sales like this are very rare, but you might find an item or two for as little as $0.01.
Items with this tag are typically older inventory that was destined for Nordstrom’s Last Chance Clearance Store. These items may be placed on Nordstrom Rack by chance and sold as final sale (no returns or exchanges).
If you’re lucky enough to find one, grab it and head to the cashier!
