BOSTON — Autopsy results are expected as early as tomorrow after a woman’s body was found in a fifth-floor apartment in Boston’s South End.
Officials told Boston 25 News that the incident is being treated as a homicide due to “circumstances that have not yet been made public.”
No one was in custody as of Sunday night, and the names of those involved have not been released.
Harris Southend’s neighbors received an email about the death but have not heard any further information.
“I watch a lot of true crime shows. I suspect it was some kind of murder or something premeditated,” neighbor Jawad Hussein said.
Boston 25 News briefly interviewed a woman who identified herself as a relative of the woman whose body was found.
She declined to comment on the investigation and rightly requested privacy.
Boston police responded to 390 Harrison Avenue Thursday night around 7 p.m. after receiving a call from a relative of the woman.
According to a police report, officers knocked on the door and entered the unit when there was no answer.
Another neighbor said: “It’s good to know if there are measures you can take that will make you safer personally.”
The apartment building has numerous surveillance cameras, a 24/7 concierge, and key chains for elevator and guest room access.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
