Trevor Lawrence’s surgery may be on the horizon, but the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback is scheduled to play Sunday against the Houston Texans, head coach Doug Pederson said Friday.
Lawrence, who is listed as questionable, has missed the Jaguars’ past two games due to a left shoulder sprain he suffered against the Philadelphia Eagles on Nov. 3. However, after returning to practice this week, there was hope that he could be back on the field this week.
“Honestly, (the AC joint sprain) I think it was pretty difficult to figure out the best path forward,” Lawrence said Wednesday. “(Surgery) is definitely something I’m considering and it’s not completely unthinkable. It’s something we really have to (approach) every day, every week.”
“He had a good week. As of now, he’s going to play,” Pederson said.
Brock Purdy questionable for game against Bills
Quarterback Brock Purdy is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game against the Buffalo Bills after missing the San Francisco 49ers’ loss to the Green Bay Packers and having limited practice this week. Ta.
Purdy is suffering from a right shoulder injury and has not practiced since suffering the injury Nov. 17 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Left tackle Trent Williams (ankle) and rusher Nick Bosa (hip/oblique) also did not play in Week 12 and will be unavailable against the Bills.
JK Dobbins leaves with knee sprain
Running back J.K. Dobbins missed Monday night’s game against the Baltimore Ravens with a sprained knee, and now that injury will keep him out for the game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
